Houseboat Concepts is the proud winner of the Australian Marine Industry Awards for ‘2008 Houseboat of the Year’ for a Houseboat named ‘Absolut’!

'Absolut' is a stunning vessel of 3 levels.  The lower level of open plan living, epitomises the term ‘bringing the outside in’ with floor to ceiling windows and the back of the vessel opening up to the outdoor kitchen and living, via café doors and windows.

Her second level is for retiring after spending an exhausting day skiing or simply relaxing and taking in the views of the mighty Murray River.  Boasting 6 bedrooms and two bathrooms it radiates comfort and contentment.

The third top deck level is to take in those beautiful Aussie sunny days, sipping your champagne whilst lying on the sun lounge.

Such a well appointed houseboat that one of the judges was overheard saying as he stepped on board “I think we have found our winner”!!  Awesome job Houseboat Concepts

Commendation - Houseboat 'Parachilna Sunset'

Houseboat Concepts won a commendation for Houseboat ‘Parachilna Sunset’.

Parachilna Sunset is as her name suggests, as beautiful as a sunset! 

She was built for one of our discerning clients who wanted a boat for a particular market.  You see the owners own 2 outback pubs in the Flinders Ranges, namely The Prairie at Parachilna and The North Star at Melrose and they wanted a stunning end to holidays for their international clientele.  Their international visitors are mostly couples or two couples and they found the smaller ‘honeymoon’ style houseboat perfect for their needs.  However since entering the market our locals have also been attracted to this unique vessel like bees to a honeypot.

As you can see from the photo’s Parachilna Sunset is a marketer’s delight as she is ochre in colour and stands out from the crowd!  She is a smaller two bedroom, two en-suite houseboat which can be handled with ease by two people.  Not only is she cute but she has some seriously special features!!

• Café doors which opens to the private back deck with outdoor kitchen and ‘sunken spa’!
• Electric roof to the outdoor area that opens to the outside world – imagine sitting in the spa and night with a well deserved glass of champagne and looking out at the stars – sensational!
• What about when you are laying in bed contemplating on getting up, as you reach out your arm and can almost touch the water.  You see there are no side fences so you feel like you are floating on water!
